The Syrian Memory Project
The Syrian Memory Project is a digital archive by the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies that documents events in Syria since the 2011 revolution. Developed by a Syrian research team, it features verified revolution diaries and covers civil, military, and political events through 2015.
The Palestinian Memory Project
The Palestinian Memory Project is an initiative launched by the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies, aimed at contributing to Palestinian history and documenting its national movement. The project establishes a digital database that preserves archives of political entities, local associations, personal collections, and family papers.
Our Contributions:
- Curated datasets from multiple social media platforms
- Curated multimodal datasets (text, audio, image, video) from diverse web and physical sources
- Utilized In house and Off the shelf Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning tools to extract information and facilitate the curation process
- Wrote and executed ETL Pipelines to structure the data and prepare it for display and analysis
